Ettore Messina and Armani Milano have been forced to play a big part of the regular season without having Kevin Pangos and Shavon Shields available.
Both players have been out for months, as Pangos last played on November 24 (knee injury), while Shields has been sidelined since October 20 (left foot injury).
Yet, it seems that both players will be back to the lineup very soon and should be good to go for EuroLeague’s double-round week.
As Ettore Messina told media after the home win over Olympiacos on Friday (83-62), Kevin Pangos should be able to return on Sunday, while Shavon Shields could be available for the double-round week.
Armani Milano has won its last four games and has a 10-15 record in the standings. They are three wins away from the final playoff spot and have to keep playing with a sense of urgency to stay alive.
If they maintain their current form, they will enter the playoff race especially if they defeat Fenerbahce in a rescheduled game on Tuesday, March 21. The Italians will play Valencia (Tuesday, road) and Partizan (Thursday, home) next week.
