Fenerbahce makes Top-4 statement, wins it all in EuroLeague classic vs Barcelona

Fenerbahce kept its Top-4 chances intact after a come-from-behind victory over Barcelona at the Ulker Sports Arena (81-73).

Trailing by 17 late in the first quarter (13-30) and outscoring the Catalans 68-43 the rest of the Way, the Turkish powerhouse sank the “Blaugrana” while claiming the tie-breaker over their opponents.

Johnathan Motley led five Fenerbahce players in double figures with 16 points and a PIR of 17, while Barcelona star Nikola Mirotic led all scorers with a game-high 19 points.

“It was a team effort. We wanted this game, we needed this game to get back in rhythm, and I think we did a good job in the second half.

In the second quarter, we did a really good job. First quarter, I was trash, so I had to come back in the second half and help my team win,” Johnathan Motley said afterwards.

Fenerbahce improved to 17-10 in the standings and holds the tiebreaker over the Catalans, who fell to 18-10 after losing their second straight.
