Team USA head coach Steve Kerr has already engaged in talks with NBA superstars ahead of the 2023 Basketball World Cup.

The head coach of the Golden State Warriors is examining the availability of NBA superstars for the summer’ major FIBA tournament and this time he has spoken to Memphis Grizzlies’ star duo of Jaren Jackson Jr. and Desmond Bane as well as Chicago Bulls’ star guard Alex Caruso, according to Joe Vardon of The Athletic.

Per the NBA insider, it is unclear if any of three committed to playing for the national team in the 2023 Basketball World Cup. Vardon also reports that two NBA superstars have already committed to playing in the summer’s tournament, but their names haven’t been officially announced yet.

Team USA has been among the 32 teams that have clinched their spot in the 2023 Basketball World Cup, which will take place in Japan, Indonesia and Philippines in late summer (August 25 – September 10).

En route to summer’s tournament, the Americans will play preparation games with fellow powerhouses Greece, Germany, Spain and Slovenia. All games will take place in August.
