Barcelona head coach Sarunas Jasikevicius was pretty clear when asked about his team’s record in the EuroLeague standings.

Following the 85-79 home win over Crvena Zvezda on Friday, the Catalans are third on the table with a 19-10 record, tied with Monaco and a step away from clinching a playoff spot.

Meanwhile, the Lithuanian head coach said the ‘minimum goal’ for his team is a Top-4 finish and the home-court advantage in the postseason.

“The home-court advantage (in the EuroLeague playoffs) is the minimum goal and I hope that we can get it. Teams will come here to play as if it was a final.

I am very happy about how the guys come out, because Zvezda was playing for its life; [it was] more or less the game we were waiting for,” Sarunas Jasikevicius said afterwards.

The battle for the home-court advantage is still open, with Olympiacos and Real Madrid being frontrunners for a Top-2 finish. Meanwhile, Barcelona and Monaco have the upper hand for the third and fourth spot, with Fenerbahce (17-11) still in the mix.

With five games to go for the regular season finale, the “Blaugrana” will play Panathinaikos (road), Partizan (road), ALBA Berlin (home), Armani Milano (road) and Valencia (home).
