Milano star guard Kevin Pangos could miss reguar season finale with abdominal injury

Armani Milano star guard Kevin Pangos will be sidelined again this season with an abdominal injury, the Italian team announced Friday.

The Canadian guard suffered an abdominal muscle strain and his condition will be re-evaluated in two weeks, which means he will be out until early April at least.

This situation brings Pangos’ presence in the regular season finale in jeopardy, as the Italians are fighting to reach the playoffs with five games to go.

Coming off a six-game win streak, Kevin Pangos and Armani Milano took on Real Madrid on Thursday, but their 91-87 road loss brings them to the brink of elimination.

With a 12-16 record in the standings and three wins away from the final playoff spot, the Italians have a very difficult task ahead, as their qualification doesn’t depend just on their own results.

Pangos recently returned to Milano lineup after missing almost four months with a knee injury, which sidelined him from November 24 to March 7. Now, another injury puts his presence in the regular season finale (April 13-14) in jeopardy.

Armani Milano will have another double-round week, playing Fenerbahce on Tuesday and Bayern Munich on Friday.
