San Antonio Spurs win NBA Draft Lottery; set to pick Victor Wembanyama

The San Antonio Spurs won the 2023 NBA Draft Lottery and will have the first overall pick in the 2023 NBA Draft, which will be held on Thursday, June 22.

This will be the third time in franchise history that the Spurs will select first in the Draft and their pick is expected to be Victor Wembanyama.

The French big man is considered a generational talent and the league views him as the next-big-thing in the NBA.

Below are the results from 2023 NBA Draft Lottery, with the Charlotte Hornets getting the second pick, the Portland Trail Blazers the third one, the Houston Rockets the fourth one and the Detroit Pistons the fifth one.

Detroit finished with a league-worst 17-65, marking the fifth straight season the team with the worst record will not select first.
