Jimmy Butler, Heat dominate Celtics in Game 7 to reach the NBA Finals

With Jimmy Butler and Caleb Martin taking over, the Miami Heat dominated the Boston Celtics in Game 7 (103-84) and advanced to the NBA Finals.

“We stayed together as a group. As a team, we talked about going and getting a tough one on the road. We did just that,” Butler said afterwards. “But we’re not satisfied. We’re excited. We’re happy. But we’ve got one more to get.”

Eastern Conference finals Most Valuable Player Jimmy Butler scored 28 points, and Caleb Martin had 26 points and 10 rebounds. The Heat led from start to finish and will fight for the NBA championship for the first time since 2020.

Miami became just the second No.8 seed in league history to qualify for the NBA Finals, whereas the Celtics came a step away from becoming the first team to erase a 3-0 deficit, but came up short in the most important game.

Miami will now collide with the Denver Nuggets with Game 1 taking place in Colorado on Thursday, June 1st.
