Ergin Ataman revealed his future with Anadolu Efes and what his next team will be as he leaves the Turkish powerhouse after six years.
The Turkish head coach admitted that he has signed with Panathinaikos and will take over the Greeks in the summer, while he revealed that Efes has already found his replacement.
“I want to leave Efes as a champion. I have signed with Panathinaikos, it is already known that Efes has signed with another coach. I would like to have more respect after what I’ve done for this club,” Ergin Ataman said after the triumph over Fenerbahce in Game 2 of the Turkish League semi-finals. The series is tied at 1-1.
Ataman will take over Panathinaikos aiming to bring the “Greens” back to the top next year, while Efes will enter a new era, with head coach Giannis Sfairopoulos being a top candidate to sign with the club.
