Maurizio Gherardini among early candidates to replace Marshall Glickman as EuroLeague CEO

Marshall Glickman will step down from his position as EuroLeague CEO in late July and a few early candidates have already emerged as replacements.

According to Aris Barkas of Eurohoops.net, some early candidates to replace Glickman are Zalgiris Kaunas assistant GM Paulius Jankunas, Anadolu Efes GM Alper Yilmaz, and Fenerbahce GM Maurizio Gherardini. Basketnews.com also puts Zalgiris GM Paulius Motiejunas on the list of candidates.

After just a season in his position next to Dejan Bodiroga, Marshall Glickman didn’t have the support of the huge majority of the clubs. Meanwhile, Dejan Bodiroga keeps his position as EuroLeague president.
