Jimmy Butler had high praise for his Miami Heat teammate Bam Adebayo and his performance in the NBA playoffs and the Finals.
The superstar guard/forward said Adebayo has been impressive in the postseason and explained why he is so valuable to the Heat.
“Yeah, Bam has been playing incredibly well this entire Playoffs, for sure this series, and that’s when he’s got like the toughest matchup by far on the defensive side of the ball. He plays with so much energy.
“He never takes a possession or a play off. You’ve got to really respect him for that. Then on the offensive end, he is doing everything for us. We need him to continue to be that. He has been there for us all year long, and like I said, he is going to be the reason why we win the championship,” Jimmy Butler told media on Tuesday.
Bam Adebayo has averaged 16.8 points, 9.2 rebounds and 3.8 assists in 18 games in the 2023 playoffs. He had 21 points, nine boards and four assists, on 8/14 shooting in Miami’s Game 2 triumph (111-108).
The series with the Nuggets (1-1) now shifts to Miami for Games 3 and 4 this week, while Game 5 takes place in Denver on Monday, June 12.
