Olympiacos captain Kostas Papanikolaou is expected to miss Game 4 of the Greek Basket League Finals vs Panathinaikos on Thursday.
The Greek forward is dealing with a calf injury he sustained on Sunday’s Game 3 and didn’t play at all in the second half to avoid any re-aggravation.
After the game, Kostas Papanikolaou underwent an MRI, which revealed a first-degree calf concussion. Hence, he is doubtful for Thursday’s game and it is not likely he will play, given that the game will be played in 72 hours.
Olympiacos dominated Panathinaikos in Game 3 (75-52) and leads the best-of-five series 2-1. If they win on Thursday, they will claim the title. If they lose, a Game 5 will be played at Peace and Friendship Stadium on Sunday.
