Monaco officially announced on Friday that Jordan Loyd will miss the start of the 2023/24 season, due to a back injury.
Loyd had back surgery in the United States and will join the Monegasques in the coming days to continue his rehabilitation. He is expected to miss the next two to three months, so his return will take place in late October – early November.

Monaco has a strong backcourt line with the addition of Kemba Walker and Terry Tarpey, so they can cover Jordan Loyd’s gap early in the season. The Monegasques will start their training camp this weekend.
Jordan Loyd averaged 12.3 points and 2.7 assists in 34 EuroLeague games last season, helping Monaco reach the Final Four for the first time. Loyd also led Monaco to the French League title, earning finals MVP honors.
