Jordan Loyd hopeful he will return to Monaco lineup ‘sometime in October’

Jordan Loyd is recovering from a back surgery he had in the offseason, but expects to be good to go soon. The American guard spoke with EuroLeague.net and revealed his return timeline, which will take place in the coming weeks. He is expected to miss the start of the season, but should be back by late October.

“I feel better already and the recovery’s been super solid so far since I’ve been back with the team, been doing great rehab with all the staff here and yeah, so I just look forward to coming back.I feel better than I was the last few years actually. So that’s exciting and I think once I’m feeling better physically, I think I can perform much better, too. October sometime is the goal and we’ll go from there. So I won’t miss too much basketball. Hopefully,” Loyd said.

Monaco has a strong backcourt line with the addition of Kemba Walker and Terry Tarpey, so they can cover Jordan Loyd’s gap early in the season.

Jordan Loyd averaged 12.3 points and 2.7 assists in 34 EuroLeague games last season, helping Monaco reach the Final Four for the first time. Loyd also led Monaco to the French League title, earning finals MVP honors.
