Gabriel Deck will miss the start of the ACB season and could be out for the EuroLeague opener as well, due to a hamstring injury he sustained during the Supercopa weekend.

The star forward of Real Madrid will miss three weeks and should be able to return to Real Madrid’s lineup in the first or second week of October. Without Deck in the lineup, the “Whites” claimed the first title of the season.

“After the tests carried out today on our player Gabriel Deck by Real Madrid Medical Services, he has been diagnosed with an injury to the femoral muscle of his right leg. The evolution of the rehabilitation is pending,” the club’s statement reads.

A key member of Real Madrid’s success, Gabriel Deck is set to stay with Real Madrid long term, after agreeing to a four-year extension with the “Whites” in the summer.

The Argentinian forward had one year left on his current deal with the club and he is now set to remain with Real Madrid until the summer of 2028. This is one of the longest-reaching extensions for an established player in EuroLeague history.

Gabriel Deck averaged 12.3 points, 5.4 rebounds and 1.9 assists in 26 minutes over 31 games, with a PIR of 15.7. He led the “Whites” to the Final Four, but a ruptured internal collateral ligament in his left knee sidelined him for the semi-final and the Championship Game. Real Madrid went on to claim the title, its third in the last eight years.
