Olympiacos completes roster with the addition of Ignas Brazdeikis

Olympiacos has completed its roster for the 2023-24 season with the addition of guard/forward Ignas Brazdeikis. Brazdeikis was under contract with Zalgiris Kaunas (1+1), but the “Reds” paid a buyout of 500,000 euros to the Lithuanians and acquired the versatile player.

On Sunday, Olympiacos announced the deal with Brazdeikis, which will be for three years, with the player undergoing medical tests later in the day.

“I’ve talked to coach Bartzokas. Great coach, legendary, great conversation with him, excited to play for him. I think I fit in well with that system. Whatever the team needs me to contribute to do, I’ll be ready to do that,” Brazdeikis told Greek TV station Cosmote TV on Saturday.

Brazdeikis averaged 11.6 points, 2.9 rebounds, 1.3 assists, and a PIR of 8.8 over 35 EuroLeague games last season, helping Zalgiris return to the playoffs.

Olympiacos has now completed its roster for the 2023-24 season and shifts its attention to the Greek Super Cup next weekend (September 29-30) and the EuroLeague opener vs Panathinaikos on Friday, October 6.
