Olympiacos will host Panathinaikos for the third Greek derby of the season. The “Reds” will be without Luke Sikma, who is still a tendinitis in the Achilles tendon, will not be available, while Shaquille McKissic is still out with a knee injury.
McKissic has not stepped on the floor in an official match since the EuroLeague round 1 matchup vs. Panathinaikos early in October. This will be the first Kostas Sloukas game in front of the fans of his former team.
Panathinaikos will also be undermanned in the forward position, as Ioannis Papapetrou will return to the court in 2–3 months. The Greece NT forward underwent arthroscopic surgery in his left knee.
Panathinaikos is coming off a strong performance vs. Baskonia in EuroLeague round 5, while Olympiacos earned a blowout victory over Anadolu Efes.
Both teams have faced each other two times so far this season, with Olympiacos winning both of the contests.
