Efes head coach shares concerning update on Elijah Bryant, Ante Zizic

Anadolu Efes head coach Emre Can shared an update on the injuries of Elijah Bryant and Ante Zizic, who have missed the latest outings of the Turkish powerhouse. As Can noted, Bryant’s injury hasn’t got better despite recovering during the last three weeks.

The American forward felt an increase in pain during his recovery and he will be out indefinitely. He has been diagnosed with plantar fascia.

“When we thought he recovered, the pain increased again,” noted Can via Eurohoops Turkiye. “We are waiting.”

As for Ante Zizic, the Croatian big is dealing with a calf injury and he will be sidelined for at least a month. The 26-year-old big registers 8.2 points-3.2 rebounds in 10 matches in the EuroLeague this season.

Zizic is the latest name to added to the injury list as Tibor Pleiss and Derek Willis remain out for the time being. Pleiss could return to practice this week. With that said, Efes could be in the market for a player considering the injury issues according to Can.

“There is a big problem in finding players in the market. We do our research. Maybe we will proceed with some addition. We will try to find the best possible option.”

Efes is hosted by Crvena Zvezda for EuroLeague round 11 on Friday.
