Olympiacos rules 3 players out for Friday’s game vs Zalgiris Kaunas – EuroLeague injury report

Confirming prior reports, Olympiacos has ruled out three key players for the road game vs Zalgiris Kaunas this Friday, March 1st. The “Reds” will be short-handed in their backcourt line, as they seek to win their fourth straight game in the EuroLeague.

Nigel Williams-Goss (left hamstring), Naz Mitrou-Long (shoulder) and Giannoulis Larentzakis (right knee) didn’t practice with the team over the past couple of days, thus they will not be part of the lineup that will travel to Kaunas for the game.

Olympiacos hopeful all 3 players will recover on time ahead of EuroLeague regular-season finale

Olympiacos are hopeful all three players will recover on time, as they will host Virtus Bologna (March 7) and Panathinaikos (March 14) in the next two Rounds after Friday’s game.

Both Virtus and Panathinaikos are a win ahead of the “Reds” (16-10 to 15-11), so whoever wins will claim not only the victory, but the tiebreaker. Olympiacos is tied with Fenerbahce with an 15-11 record, while the “Greens”, the Italians and Monaco share the third place (16-10).

Meanwhile, Zalgiris have won four of their last five (11-15) and want to stay alive and maintain their chances to reach the play-in tournament. Maccabi Tel-Aviv, which holds the final play-in spot, has a 13-13 record.
