Kevin Durant wants to see Team USA ‘make a statement’ in the 2024 Olympic Games

Kevin Durant has his sights set on a championship run with the Phoenix Suns this season. However, he is also focused on helping Team USA claim its fifth straight Olympic gold medal immediately after the end of the 2023/24 NBA season.

The two-time NBA champion and Finals MVP is committed to the national team for one final run and is expected to headline the roster alongside LeBron James and Stephen Curry. Kevin Durant spoke about playing for Team USA in the 2024 Olympics and made it clear that he wants to see his team ‘make a statement’ in the tournament.

“Interesting in seeing how you work and what makes you, you, because all greats are going to be here. So I’m excited about that, but the accolade piece, having four [gold medals]. I think I’d be the only one. Let’s go get four. I want to really make a statement on how dominant our players are. Like 40, 50-point wins. I want to do that,” Kevin Durant told Duane Rankin of AZ Central.

It’s unmatched,” Kevin Durant said.
