Maccabi coach doesn’t expect Wade Baldwin to be available for Game 5 vs Panathinaikos

Maccabi Tel-Aviv coach Oded Kattash is not optimistic about Wade Baldwin’s availability for Game 5 against Panathinaikos at OAKA Altion in Athens on Tuesday, May 7. Baldwin returned in Game 4 after missing two games with a hamstring injury, but re-aggravated it and is now expected to miss Tuesday’s must-win game.

“I don’t think that Wade Baldwin will be back this week,” Kattash told media ahead of Game 5 vs the Greens, via the Israeli website Sport 5.

The American guard is the leading scorer for the Israelis with an average of 17.4 points, and the team will try to cover his gap with Lorenzo Brown and Tamir Blatt.

The series is tied at two games apiece and the winner will advance to the EuroLeague Final Four and will face the winner of the Monaco vs Fenerbahce series, which will be decided in a Game 5 as well.
