Luka Doncic on battling injuries after Mavericks victory

Luka Doncic is playing through various injuries during the NBA playoffs as the Dallas Mavericks tied the semifinal series at 1-1. Doncic was asked about the injuries that he’s dealing with during the postseason.

“It was just my mentality,” Doncic said via Bleacher Report. “I think today was one of the hardest game I had to play. I’m battling out there. I try and do my best to help [the] team win with just my mentality. Have a great start, and then the team’s going to follow me.”

Luka Doncic was held to 19 points in Game 1 as he shot 6-for-19 from the field and had five turnovers. He bounced back on Thursday as scored 29 including 16 in the first quarter and added 10 rebounds and seven assists for his team.

The Mavs superstar injured his knee in Game 3 of the first round against the Los Angeles Clippers. He’s battling a sprained knee as it was confirmed after Game 5 of the first round.

The Slovenian player is struggling with his shooting, while his limited mobility makes him an easy target on defence. The Mavericks do not have the luxury to not have Doncic putting up numbers on offence.

Now, the series is going to Dallas for Games 3 and 4 as Luka Doncic and company hope that they can take control of the match up at home.
