Real Madrid veteran superstar Rudy Fernandez reflected on his potential last game in front of his team’s fans as the Whites are up 2-0 in the ACB Finals vs. Murcia. The EuroLeague finalists need one more win in the next two games taking place at Murcia to win the title and end the season.
The Spaniard received a loud standing ovation from the fans in the Wizink Arena as the Madrid’s faithful applauded him for 15 minutes after the end of the game.
“There are a lot of emotions going into today because this may be the last game here. But I leave with the feeling that I have done a good job and that I have given everything to this club.
Today’s recognition has been incredible, and I take it into my life in general. I am grateful to the people who have helped me along this path,” Rudy Fernandez said, via Eurohoops.
Fernandez illustrious career is set to finish at the Olympics with the Spanish national team. The veteran is already looking at the final games of his basketball career which will likely end with another ACB title. This will be his 7th title with Whites since he rejoined the Real after one season in the NBA back in 2012.

Fernandez has seen successes in Madrid since he joined the club back in 2012. The veteran forward admitted that he’s cherishing every moment that he passed with club as the Spaniard was holding back tears during the standing ovation he received from the fans.
“There have been many years, battles, titles, and defeats. I think I made the best decision by coming here, and I thank the people who made it possible, first of all, the president.
I hope today has been a farewell because I don’t have to return for the fifth game. I will take this with me for a lifetime. And on top of that, experiencing it with my family has been something incredible.”
Rudy Fernandez has been named ACB Finals MVP in 2018 and will finish his career with three EuroLeague titles, one EuroCup several All-EuroLeague selections and many titles in the Spanish league and cup.
