Luka Doncic joins Slovenia NT

Luka Doncic joined the Slovenian NT despite the fact that he was dealing with various injuries during the last few months and was playing in the NBA Finals just a week ago. In a video shared by the Slovenian Basketball Federation, the 25-year-old guard was seen meeting up with the national team.

Slovenia will compete in Piraeus, Greece tournament for one of the final four tickets that led to the 2024 Olympics. Slovenia will face New Zealand and Croatia in Group A, with Egypt, Greece, and the Dominican Republic in Group B. The tournament starts on July 2.

Doncic is coming off an excellent season leading the Dallas Mavericks to the NBA Finals. Dallas lost to Boston in five and missed the chance to win the NBA title.

The Slovenian phenom averaged 27.0 points, 7.1 rebounds, and 6.1 assists per game in the last competition with his national team playinh in the FIBA Basketball World Cup. He registered 26.0 points, 7.7 rebounds, and 6.6 assists at the FIBA EuroBasket 2022.

Luka Doncic will look to fight through pain, tiredness and physical limitations in his movement to be available for the Olympic Qualifying Tournament.
