It was a big day for the French basketball as two players from the country were the top-2 picks in the 2024 NBA Draft. Zacharrie Risacher was selected first among 30 names to join the Atlanta Hawks, while Alexander Sarr followed him second going to Washington.
Rob Dillingham was the first trade of the draft, as the San Antonio Spurs sent the guard to Minnesota for two future draft pick selections. Risacher — at 6-foot 9 — will be expected to join guards Trae Young and Dejounte Murray and forward Jalen Johnson as foundation players.
