Leandro Bolmaro joins Milan on multiyear deal

Leandro Bolmaro left German powerhouse Bayern Munich to join Milan as the Italian side announced Monday. The Argentinian wing is moving to Italy on a multiyear deal under head coach Ettore Messina.

Bolmaro started his career in the EuroLeague with FC Barcelona. During the 2020/21 season he played with the first team with 30 EuroLeague appearances including the Final Four in Cologne.

The Argentinian had a stint in the NBA playing for the Minnesota Timberwolves and the Utah Jazz before making his return to Europe for Pablo Laso and Bayern Munich.

He had a bounce back year averaging 8.4 points and 3.4 assists in the EuroLeague over 30 appearances with the German giants.

“I’m really excited about the challenge that awaits me; I’m incredibly happy to join a big club like Olimpia Milan. I will try to do my best to help the team and this great organization reach the peaks that they deserve.

I can’t wait to start the new season and play with my new teammates and for Coach Ettore Messina.”

Bolmaro also has success with the Argentinian national team as he played in the 2021 Olympics and won the gold medal at the 2022 AmeriCup.
