Amid an offseason full of roster changes, Maccabi Tel-Aviv officially announced that captain John DiBartolomeo has agreed to an one-year extension with the Israeli club. DiBartolomeo had one year left on his current deal and will now stay with the Israelis through the summer of 2026.
“My brothers, I’m happy to say we’re staying together for two more years. Maccabi and Israel have become my home. I can’t wait to get back out there and start the season. Maccabi is in my heart, let’s get it!” John DiBartolomeo said after signing the contract extension, via EuroLeague.net.
The 33-year-old guard had averages of 4.8 points, 2.0 rebounds and 1.1 assists last season, where Maccabi came a step away from reaching the EuroLeague Final Four. DiBartolomeo moved to Maccabi in the summer of 2017.
As for the Israelis, they saw Lorenzo Brown, Wade Baldwin, Bonzie Colson and Josh Nebo leave this summer, while they brought in star guard Jordan Loyd along with former NBA player Wenyen Gabriel, Levin Randolph and Jaylen Hoard.
