Bayern Munich started to add new players after the release of Serge Ibaka adding promising guard Yam Madar on a two-year deal. This will be the third offseason addition for the Bavarians, who are looking to add another cog in their perimeter rotation. Madar spent the past season with Fenerbahce after working under Zeljiko Obradovic in Partizan.
“Bayern is a historic club that everyone in Europe knows,” Madar said in his first statement as a Bayern player. “I will show this club the appropriate respect and give 100 percent in every game so that we can win as many games as possible.”
During the past season, Madar had a minimal role under coach Dimitris Itoudis and Sarunas Jasikevicius. He averaged 4.1 points, 1.2 rebounds, 2.0 assists, and 4.6 PIR over 31 EuroLeague games with Fenerbahce.
During his first two seasons with Partizan, he was named the EuroLeague Rising Star for the 2022-23 campaign. He has career averages of 5.1 points, 1.2 rebounds and 1.8 assists through 68 EuroLeague games with Partizan and Fener.
Madar will be the third addition of the offseason for the German giants, which also signed Oscar Da Silva and Tom Yebo. Bayern has yet to appoint a new head coach after parting ways with Pablo Laso.
