The veteran swingman had to play through injury during the first-round of the playoffs vs. Indiana and as it was revealed he had to go through “arthroscopic surgeries on both ankles this offseason,” per Shams Charania of The Athletic.
Despite his injuries on both ankles, Khris Middleton performed well in the playoff series against Indiana. During the regular season, he missed over a month of action and 16 consecutive games with a left ankle injury before returning to the floor on March 17.
Middleton averaged 15.1 points, 4.7 rebounds and 5.3 assists in 27 minutes per game and played in only 55 games. Through 12 seasons, he has career averages of 16.9 points, 4.8 rebounds, 3.9 assists and 1.2 steals.
The surgery Khris Middleton had on his left ankle related to a sprain suffered on Feb. 6, while the right ankle procedure was a minor arthroscopic operation that was intended to clean up a past issue.
