Confirming prior reports, Virtus Bologna officially announced the addition of star forward Will Clyburn, who left Anadolu Efes after a couple of years. The Italians didn’t reveal details of the deal.
Will Clyburn arrives from Efes, where he had averages of 13.3 points, 4.6 rebounds, 2.0 assists and 1.0 steals, failing to lead his team to the EuroLeague playoffs, though.
Aside from the two-time All-EuroLeague forward, Virtus Bologna announced the signing of another five players, namely Matt Morgan, Andrejs Grazulis, Nicola Akele, Riccardo Visconti and Mouhamet Diouf, completing the roster for the 2024/25 season.
In addition, Marco Belinelli, Devontae Cacok, Isaia Cordinier, Daniel Hackett, Alessandro Pajola, Achille Polonara, Toko Shengelia and Ante Zizic will return this season, aiming to help the Italians advance to the postseason.
Virtus was one of the top teams early in the 2023/24 season, but a collapse in the final rounds of the regular season led to playoff elimination.
