Anadolu Efes will add another former NBA player after signing Stanley Johnson a month ago. As it was officially announced, Jordan Nwora is joining Anadolu Efes on a 1-year deal to make his EuroLeague debut. Nwora spent the past season between Indiana and Toronto.
He started his NBA career in Milwaukee after getting picked in the second round of the 2020 NBA Draft by the Milwaukee Bucks. He was part of the Milwaukee Bucks team that won the NBA championship in 2021.
Nwora is the fourth Anadolu Efes offseason signing after Stanley Johnson, Roland Smits and Vincent Poirier. Efes also retained superstar guard Shane Larkin on a multiyear deal, while Nwora will meet former Milwaukee Bucks teammate Elijah Bryant in the Istanbul club.
A high-caliber wing scorer, Nwora has been a valid three-point shooter and scorer. He appeared in 206 NBA games during his career, having career averages of 7.0, 2.9 rebounds, and 1.2 assists, shooting 43.3 percent from the field and 37.6 percent from beyond the arc.
Nwora is also part of the Nigerian national team, having been the leading scorer in the previous Olympics with an average of 21.0 points. Nwora was part of the trade that sent Pascal Siakam to the Pacers last February.
The Pacers traded Nwora, along with Bruce Brown, Kira Lewis Jr., and three first-round draft picks, to the Toronto Raptors in exchange for the Cameroonian superstar.
