Maccabi concluded another signing before the start of their training camp and are currently working to morph their roster for the upcoming season. The EuroLeague powerhouse added former Panathinaikos guard Daryl Macon to bolster its backcourt.
The American guard signed for one year with an option for one more season. He is set to join Maccabi in November as a valid backup option for the EuroLeague powerhouse. Macon played in China last season.
Macon is back in the EuroLeague after 2021-22 when he played for Panathinaikos Athens. The Arkansas product has career averages of 13.1 points, 2.2 rebounds and 3.6 assists in 31 games in the EuroLeague — all with Panathinaikos.
Last season, he played for Shenzen Leopards, registering 18.9 points, 6.1 assists and 3.5 rebounds. After playing college basketball at the University of Arkansas, Macon began his professional career in the NBA with the Dallas Mavericks and also played for the Mavericks G-League affiliate, Texas Legends.
