Omer Yurtseven is still in search of the next chapter in his career and has been linked to the New York Knicks and two EuroLeague clubs, Panathinaikos and Fenerbahce, according to the Turkish website ajansspor.
The Turkish big man is a free agent and he would be able to sign a more lucrative contract with a EuroLeague club, compared to the NBA, where the Knicks can offer him a minimum contract, due to salary cap rules.
Recently, Panathinaikos head coach, Ergin Ataman, spoke with the same media outlet and revealed that the reigning EuroLeague champions are considering signing Omer Yurtseven, as they are in search of a backup big man that will complete the roster.
As for his former team, Fenerbahce, it is unclear if they are actually willing to pursue him, as they have already signed big men Nicolo Melli and Luka Samanic in the offseason. Yurtseven spent the previous season with the Utah Jazz, with averages of 4.6 points and 4.3 rebounds in 11.4 minutes of action.
