FC Barcelona kept Dame Sarr at its roster for the 2024-25 season to gain experience alongside top EuroLeague players. Sarr is projected to be a top-10 pick in the 2025 draft.
The Italian forward made history by becoming the second-youngest player to debut for Barcelona in the ACB League in the 2022-23 season, making his first appearance against Bilbao Basket.
He also debuted in the EuroLeague last season making two appearances against Panathinaikos and Zalgiris Kaunas.
After working on his basketball skills in Italy since 2012 and played for his parent club until 2019, Sarr arrived in Catalonia in 2022 and made some steady progress since then.
At the recent European Under-18 Championship, the FC Barcelona young star finished the competition averaging 13.4 points, 6.3 rebounds and 4.7 assists for Italy. The Barcelona player is positioned among the best players in the next year’s NBA Draft.
