EuroLeague 2024-25 season is just two months away from its start, and Hedgeout.net presents each team’s best signing of the 2024 offseason. EuroLeague season is set to begin on October 2, 2024, with ALBA Berlin hosting reigning champions Panathinaikos in Uber Arena.
Without further ado, here are the best offseason move for each team ahead of the 2024-25 season.
ALBA acquires EuroCup superstar; Zvezda signs breakout star from last EuroLeague season
- ALBA Berlin
— We got to go with Trevion Williams, The EuroCup breakout star will make his EuroLeague debut with the German powerhouse and a team that will offer him the minutes and space to show his talents.
Last season, Williams averaged 14.8 points, 10.8 rebounds, 4.3 assists and 1.3 steals over 18 EuroCup games.
-
FC Barcelona
—Kevin Punter is without a doubt the biggest cog of the 2024 offseason for the Catalans.
Punter will add shot creation and scoring and will demand a load of attention from EuroLeague defenses to open the game for the rest of his teammates.
Punter could be the perimeter leaders FC Barcelona needs when its offense comes up short against the stingy EuroLeague defenses.
-
Crvena Zvezda
— Crvena Zveda was in obvious need of adding a playmaker and a guy who could run an offense effectively. After the failed experiment with Shabazz Napier, they decided to move for Cody Miller-McIntyre, who had a breakout year with Baskonia last season.
The veteran guard became the first player to register a 20-assist game in his rookie EuroLeague season. He’s clearly the man for the job in Belgrade.
- Fenerbahce
— Wade Baldwin moved clubs after two incredible MVP-level seasons with Maccabi. The American guard became an established superstar after a rocky start to his EuroLeague career.
His ability to affect the game on both ends will immediately make him a key contributor for Fenerbahce.
- Zalgiris Kaunas
— Zalgiris Kaunas has impressed us with the collection of talent they managed to bring in during the 2024 offseason. The Lithuanians seem to aim high, and they proved their ability to bring in breakout talent by signing Sylvain Fransisco.
Fransisco made his EuroLeague debut with Bayern Munich and was successful in his role. The former Paris Basketball and Manresa guard was signed to replace Keenan Evans.
