Usman Garuba is set to return to Real Madrid after spending three seasons overseas. The Spanish international signed a 3-year deal with the “Whites,” as the club announced Tuesday.
The “Whites” former junior player and Spanish international returns to the club after three years in the NBA, where he has played for the Houston Rockets and Golden State Warriors, as well as their affiliates in the G League.
Garuba joined the Madridistas basketball youth academy in 2013 and made his debut with the first team back in 2018. Before heading to the United States, Usman Garuba played 69 games with Real Madrid in the Endesa League and another 53 in the Euroleague.
He won four titles in three seasons: the ACB League, the Copa del Rey, and two Spanish Super Cups.
In addition, he was voted as the Best Young Player of the Endesa ACB League and the EuroLeague in the 2020–2021 season.
