Partizan newcomer suffers injury in first practice of the season

Partizan Belgrade started the season on a high-note by announcing 13 new offseason additions. However, the first practice of the season began with some bad news as newly-acquired forward Isiaha Mike suffered a calf injury that will keep him away from the court for four weeks.

As reported by various Serbian media outlets, Mike will miss at least a month of action. Former JL Bourg power forward could miss the entire preparation period.

Last season, Mike averaged 12.8 points, 4.3 rebounds, 1.5 assists, 1.6 steals, and 13.7 PIR per game in 24 EuroCup appearances.

Partizan began preparing for the new season without Frank Ntilikina as well. The French international received some extra days off after participating in the 2024 Paris Olympic Games.

Partizan will be hosted by Panathinaikos at the “Pavlos Giannakopoulos” tournament, and will, in fact, be the opponent of the Greens in the semi-finals. Zeljko Obradovic’s side’s ABA Liga action begins on September 20-23.
