Jeremy Sochan set to join Poland for EuroBasket 2025

With him being present in the FIBA Olympic Qualifying Tournament this past summer, Jeremy Sochan committed to helping Poland in the 2025 EuroBasket. Jeremy Sochan is preparing to enter his third season with the San Antonio Spurs and discussed the next summer’s international challenge.

“Looking forward to next summer, I think we need to prepare better mentally and physically. We need to be ready. We are all very excited to play at home, in front of our crowd, as an additional player for us,” Sochan shared via a message posted by the Polish Basketball Federation. (h/t Eurohoops)

“In the Olympic Games, we saw European powerhouses like Germany, Serbia, and France, so we know we need to be ready to compete with the best next year.”

In the recent OQT, Jeremy Sochan did everything in his power to bring Poland into the knockout stage, but his team was unable to make it out of the group stage. The Spurs forward/center posted averages of 18.0 points, 9.0 rebounds, and 3.0 assists in the games against Finland and the Bahamas.

In the 2025 EuroBasket, Sochan and co. are among the hosts, with Group D of the tournament taking place in Katowice, Poland. Finland, which was Poland’s pool rival in the latest OQT, will also hold a group in Tampere, while Cyprus and Latvia complete the four countries that will host the upcoming EuroBasket.

Riga will be the place where the tournament’s knockout phase will be taking place.
