EuroLeague rumors: Moustapha Fall to avoid surgery

Olympiacos fans have received positive news on the situation around the Moustapha Fall injury as he recovers from a stress fracture in the 4th metatarsal of his left foot. The French international suffered the injury before the start of the Greek League final last May.

According to Gazzeta.gr, Fall underwent tests to check on the superstar center recovery progress and received positive feedback from the medical staff. Fall, who was in danger of undergoing surgery before the start of the season, will likely avoid it and continue to progress towards returning to the floor.

Fall’s problem remains, but he will proceed cautiously, as he has done up to date, to return to action as soon as possible. Olympiacos has already a strong line of replacements in the team with Moses Wright and Nikola Milutinov.

Last season, Fall averaged 7.2 points, 4.7 rebounds, and 1.2 blocks per game through 36 EuroLeague games. His absence during the Greek Basket League finals hurt his team’s chances, as they lost to Panathinaikos 3-2 in the series.
