AS Monaco superstar Mike James will miss the start of the season after undergoing surgery during the summer. The 2024 EuroLeague MVP underwent back surgery to fix an issue that had been bothering him since the last spring, according to BeBasket.
James admitted in June that he was not at 100 percent during the playoff series against Fenebahce.
Once the season ended, Mike James decided to undergo surgery in order to be ready for the start of the new EuroLeague season. The veteran superstar is set to return late September and he will miss Monaco’s training camp and the start of the season in the LBA.
Last season, the American guard averaged 17.9 points, 4.1 rebounds, and 5.1 assists through 39 games, shooting 37.2% from three and 42% from the field. With the current timeline on his recovery, James is set to miss the two first games of the BetClic Elite regular season.
