The defending NBA champions Boston Celtics were able to keep the entirety of their roster from last season.
However, the Celtics ultimately believed they were lacking some depth on the perimeter, and they addressed that on Wednesday by signing former 1st round pick Lonnie Walker IV.
Walker signed a one-year deal with the 2024 NBA champions, as was reported by ESPN insider Adrian Wojnarowski. Walker, 25, was a first-round pick of the San Antonio Spurs out of Miami (F) back in 2018.
He stayed in San Antonio for four seasons, averaging 9.4 points. This past season, he was part of the rebuilding project in Brooklyn, where he put up 9.7 points on 38 percent shooting from deep.
Walker will be a backup option behind Derrick White and Jaylen Brown in the shooting guard and small forward positions.
