Josh Nebo cites ‘great ambitions’ as reason behind move to Armani Milano

Josh Nebo made the decision to leave Maccabi Tel-Aviv this offseason and move to Armani Milano on a lucrative deal. The American big man, who plays as a naturalized for Slovenia, hopes to help the Italians get back on track and make the playoffs after missing the postseason last year.

Josh Nebo, who led the EuroLeague in rebounds (7.1) and offensive rebounds (3.1), opened up about signing with Armani Milano, citing ‘great ambitions’ as the reason behind his move to the Italian club.

“I decided to come here because this is a great club, with great ambitions, and want to return to the top of the competition also in the EuroLeague, perhaps returning to the Final Four. The club and I share the same goals and also the same values: to win, to get to the Final Four, and to compete at the highest level. Olimpia has the goals and ambitions that I also demand from my team,” Josh Nebo told Milano’s official website, via Eurohoops.net.

Aside from Nebo, Armani Milano brought in EuroLeague veterans, like Fabien Causeur, and Zach LeDay, as well as versatile guard Leandro Bolmaro from Bayern Munich. The Italians will kick of their EuroLeague campaign with a road game against Monaco on Thursday, October 3.
