Lorenzo Brown made his preseason debut with Panathinaikos on Friday and had 18 points in 28 minutes of action. The American star guard was one of the three signings of the reigning EuroLeague champions this offseason, bolstering their backcourt line.
The former Maccabi Tel-Aviv guard said he is adjusting to what the team needs from him and expects to get better going forward. At the same time, Lorenzo Brown shared his excitement about the El Clasico with Olympiacos, as the Reds and Greens have emerged as the top two favorites to win the EuroLeague this season, following their offseason moves.
While Lorenzo Brown is warming up for the game against Cedevita Olimpija tonight, Mathias Lessort will rest.

“I am adjusting at the moment. I am trying to get on the same page with my teammates, tyring to find my spots. I am trying to play at my best every night….Olympiacos made some great offseason moves, like other teams in the league did. When the Greek Clasico comes, I am confident that everybody will be excited. We will be excited, the fans will be excited. I am looking forward to the competition (between the two teams),” Lorenzo Brown told Basketball Sphere.
Panathinaikos are expected to face Olympiacos in the Final of the Greek Super Cup on Sunday, September 29. A few days later, they will kick off their EuroLeague campaign with a road game against ALBA Berlin.
