Nikola Milutinov suffered an ankle sprain that will keep him sidelined for the next 4–6 weeks, as Olympiacos announced Wednesday (h/t Eurohoops). Milutinov went down with an injury during Monday’s practice and underwent further medical evaluation that revealed a Grade B ankle sprain.
Olympiacos is already missing center Moustapha Fall, who is recovering from an offseason injury and the timetable of his return remain unknown. Last season, Milutinov encountered numerous lower leg injuries, resulting in a significant absence from several EuroLeague matches.

“Milu” will miss the Olympiacos season opener in the Greek SuperCup, while he set to be sidelined for the start of the Greek Basket League season and the first game against Fenerbahce in the opening round of the EuroLeague.
Milutinov averaged 7.8 points and 5.6 rebounds during the 2023-24 EuroLeague season. The Reds will hope that Filip Petrusev and Moses Wright will share the minutes in the center position, with both Fall and Milutinov out for the start of the new season.
