NBA and Orlando Magic superstar Paolo Banchero will be sidelined for at least the next 4-6 weeks, Shams Charania reports. Banchero suffered a torn right oblique and he will be re-evaluated in more than a month from now.
This is a huge blow for the 3-2 Orlando Magic. Paolo Banchero is leading the way for Orlando averaging 29.0 points, 8.8 rebounds and 5.6 assists on 34.4% on three-pointers in 36 minutes per game.
Devastating injury for Banchero and loss for the Magic. Banchero had been blossoming, averaging nearly 29 points, nine rebounds and six assists for 3-2 Orlando and becoming the second-youngest player in NBA history with a 50-point, 10-rebound, 5-assist line behind LeBron James. https://t.co/6dUgV95XMF

The Magic will now have to rely even more on Franz Wagner in order to endure this stretch. Recently, Banchero dropped the first 50-point game of the season and became the second-youngest player with a 50-point, 10-rebound, 5-assist line behind LeBron James.
He did that on Monday against one of the best team in the East. Orlando won 119-115 against Indiana. With the minimum recovery time scheduled to be around six weeks, Banchero is set to miss at least 15 games.
