The Los Angeles Clippers superstar James Harden added another milestone to his illustrious career by becoming the second player in the history of the NBA to surpass the 3,000 makes from beyond the arc. Harden did it in the Clippers’ Sunday victory over the Denver Nuggets in a game that he finished with 39 points, 11 assists, 9 rebounds, and 6 triples.
He powered his team to its 13th victory of the season and kept them close to the top-seeded OKC Thunder, with the Clips being just 3 games outside the first seed in the West.
“Another one of those accomplishments that you never take for granted,” Harden said on his achievement (h/t ESPN). “The amount of work that I’ve put in — countless days and nights where I put the work in — a lot of people don’t see it, but the results happen, so I’m just thankful.”
Harden recently surpassed Ray Allen for second in the all-time three-pointers rankings, only trailing his former Western Conference rival, Stephen Curry. He put up once again a calculated performance to lead the Clippers to another victory, hitting three 3s in the first half and three more in the second half.
The Clippers are at 13-9 without superstar forward Kawhi Leonard who has yet to make an appearance this NBA season, managing an inflammation in his surgically repaired right knee.
