Evan Fournier reveals intention to play for France in the EuroBasket Qualifiers in February

Evan Fournier is having a great season with Olympiacos so far, helping the Reds move to the top spot in the EuroLeague standings with a 13-6 record, tied with Monaco. Evan Fournier has played all 19 games for his team with averages of 15.4 points, and 2.7 assists for a PIR of 13.1.

At the same time, the French star guard/forward revealed his intention to join France for the EuroBasket Qualifiers in February, even though he said that he was unsure whether he would play in the final stage of the tournament in September, should the team qualify.

“I’ve already given my answer for the window – I’ll be there. I’m focusing on that. I had a call with [head coach] Frederic Fauthoux…We’ll see (if I will play in the EuroBasket) – I honestly don’t know. I’m not projecting that far ahead for different reasons, but the door is open,” Evan Fournier told NBA extra.
