EuroLeague Fantasy coaches received huge news on Wednesday night as P.J. Dozier is set to join Anadolu Efes returning to EuroLeague after parting ways with Partizan last summer.
The high-flying forward had a positive impact last season before Partizan’s disastrous ending to their campaign due to locker room issues. Dozier’s effort was in vain, but the South Carolina product cashed in on his performances by signing a 1-year deal with the Minnesota Timberwolves the past summer.
Things did not turn out well in Minneapolis as the former Nuggets swingman was not an active part of the rotation and as a result, he was waived on December 28.
Projecting Dozier’s value in the EuroLeague Fantasy leagues
Dozier proved himself as one of the best two-way wings, but his value remained pretty appealing at least at the start of the 2023-24 season. In his lone season so far in the EuroLeague, he put up 9.2 points, 3.0 rebounds, and 3.1 assists per game. If he can produce those numbers for Efes then he can easily find his place in your EuroLeague Fantasy team, especialy if his value is around 9–10 credits.
Dario Brizuela: The unlikely hero of FC Barcelona
FC Barcelona was coming off a tough defeat to Girona and Joan Penaroya was searching from the unbalanced factor that could spark FC Barcelona’s winning spirit. Brizuela last good performance for the Catalans was at the start of the EuroLeague season registering 18 points in Round 1 matchup vs. ALBA.
In Monaco, Brizuela led the way with a career-high 27 points on 6-of-8 shooting from beyond the arc, which is also a career high. Brizuela costs just 4.8 credits after Round 20 so if you feel lucky, we recommend monitoring the Spaniard at least until the next round and if you want to take a risk take him over as a deep-end bench option.
The Spaniard is an efficient shooter from beyond the arc making 43 percent of his threes on 3.2 attempts per game this season.
Jerian Grant all-around masterpiece against Partizan
Panathinaikos is rolling from win to win during the last few weeks showing improvement in every aspect of the game. Since their two consecutive losses to Efes and Partizan, the Greens have nabbed 5 straight victories.
Jerian Grant was looking for a great performance and was able to participate on both offense and defense in the win against Partizan. The former Knicks’ guard posted 14 points without missing a single field goal.
He also added 7 rebounders and 8 assists. Panathinaikos was minus three key players, including Kostas Sloukas and Lorenzo Brown in the guard rotation, so Grant was able to operate on the ample time he had on the floor. We should monitor Grant’s value especially if Sloukas and Brown missed more games going forward.
Alongside Grant, Cedi Osman shone bright with his ability to defend and create some extra pressure on the offensive side alongside Kendrick Nunn. In the game vs. Partizan, Osman registered 18 points, going to the line nine times and making two threes. The Turkish international should also be on your radar after his latest two performances, especially at his current prize (8.3 credits).
