Jimmy Butler continues to have no desire to stay with the Miami Heat and wants to get traded to another team. As his seven-game suspension is coming to an end this week, the All-Star forward met with team president and NBA legend Pat Riley, where he insisted on leaving the franchise.
As he is set to return to the team, the Heat will continue to listen to offers from interested teams, even though at the moment there is no offer that has attracted their attention. Shams Charania of ESPN reported that Miami front office will have a meeting this week to evaluate all options and agree on their next moves.
Jimmy Butler is averaging 17.6 points, 5.5 rebounds and 4.7 assists this season, while shooting a career-best 55.2% from the field for a Miami team that is seventh in the East with a 20-18 record.
