EuroLeague Round 22: Standings and results

EuroLeague Round 22 concluded with a five-game slate on Friday which included four home victors. Fenerbahce came back from down 13 to down Zalgiris in the game that opened Friday’s action with the Turkish side remaining in the hunt for the top spot in the EuroLeague standings.

ASVEL bounced back from a blowout defeat with a tough home win against ALBA Berlin closing the week closer to the play-in area with a 10-12 record after 22 rounds. Crvena Zvezda was able to push through AS Monaco at home, beating the Monegasques 88-82 in overtime extending their opponents’ losing streak to 3 games.

Partizan’s excellent defensive effort kept Milan to 70 points and the Serbian powerhouse nabbed an important win to climbed one game away from the Play-in showdown area in the standings. Olympiacos remains the hottest team in the EuroLeague running a 7-game slate without a defeat after rolling past Real Madrid on Thursday night.

Finally, the fellow Greek giant, Panathinaikos fell victim to a surprising upset as Baskonia ran away with a 91-77 win forcing the Greens to their second defeat in a row.
