Daniel Theis set to return to Europe after 8 years and sign with Monaco

Daniel Theis is expected to return to Europe after eight years and has agreed to a deal with Monaco, according to several media outlets.

The German star big man is currently a free agent and has rejected offers from other EuroLeague clubs to sign with the Monegasques. His contract will keep him with Monaco for at least two years, while it will include NBA buy-out clauses. The official announcement is expected soon.

Daniel Theis moved to the NBA back in 2017 and spent nearly eight years there, playing 411 games for the Boston Celtics, Chicago Bulls, Indiana Pacers, LA Clippers, and New Orleans Pelicans, averaging 7.1 points, 4.7 rebounds, and 1.3 assists in 18.8 minutes per game.

This year, he had a limited role with the Pelicans with averages of 4.3 points, 4.3 rebounds, and 1.6 assists before being traded to the Oklahoma City Thunder, who eventually waived him.
